Arts Award

arts award logo Arts Award is a national qualification that is all about encouraging young people to develop as artists and arts leaders.  Any young person who is 11-25 years old can work towards an Arts Award. There are three levels of award: Bronze, Silver and Gold - levels 1, 2 and 3 on the national qualifications framework.  artsedSW can help by:

  • Telling people about the Arts Award and the reasons why they might want to get involved
  • Making sure that the Arts Award is part of projects right from the beginning
  • Giving information about the award and how it can work in many different ways. This can vary depending on what you do, where you are and who you work with
  • Training Arts Award ‘Advisers’ – these are the people who will help young people through their awards
  • Including the Arts Award in the projects that we run ourselves
  • Spotting opportunities that are coming up and how the Arts Award can link in
  • Making connections between advisers so that they can learn from each other
  • Making connections between young people so that they can learn from each other too
  • Celebration Events – making sure that when young people get their awards they feel proud of themselves and their achievements. We try to show other people what young people have achieved too
