Learning Outside the Classroom (LOTC)

Arts Council England has commissioned artsedSW to deliver Learning Outside the Classroom training to arts and cultural organisations in the region.  We are running courses on how to achieve Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge. This means helping arts organisations prove that they offer high quality experiences to children and young people to support their learning outside the classroom.  The self assessment process includes reflection on how quality and health and safety are in place before, during and after an event. It also looks at how processes within an organisation are set up to support a quality learning experience.   We can also offer 1:1 advice and surgeries to guide organisations through the process.

Schools, including Creative & Media Diploma consortia, will be seeking to work with organisations who have achieved the Learning Outside The Classroom quality badge as a sign of quality and safety.
